My classroom is in desperate need of books! With these books, my students can choose books from different genres, be challenged with a higher level of reading and continue to grow in their love for reading. Prior to my students coming to my class, they were not readers. I start my class by reading to them. but also making sure that they can choose just the right book for them to read on their own. Because I was teaching fifth grade, but now I'm teaching twefth grade, my library is full of books on lower levels. I am desperate to have books in my library that will challenge my students while still engaging them in reading. I live by example and I am constantly reading books so that I can have book discussions with each student. I can only hope that my love for reading transfers to all of my students.
