The East Harlem Pride is an athletic consortium made up from three small schools in the area. The surrounding area is impoverished and nearly devoid of healthy, active outlets for young people. Many students have grown up with a love for baseball and have played on the streets and in empty lots, but now they have the opportunity to compete on an interscholastic team. Our players are committed and dedicated to the team, the program, and each other. Most of the players have not had the chance to be a part of a real team and learn what it means to be a responsible team player.
