I have 12 groups of very sweet ELL students from Kindergarten to 5th grade. They come from a low income community in central FL. My students come from different cultural backgrounds, but are predominately Hispanic, being our school a Bilingual Center.
all the students I serve are reading below grade level because of their proficiency level in acquiring a new language. I am the interventions Resource Teacher at out school.
These students struggle with learning the new language and transferring skills from their home language. They are all hard workers and very excited about learning to be able to help their parents since they are not English speakers, neither.
