My second grade students are very active learners. Providing them with flexible seating options will help them get the wiggles out, so they can concentrate on learning and becoming productive classroom citizens. Many young students find it hard to sit still all day long. This flexible seating project will let my young learners move throughout their school day. Gettting their minds and bodies moving simultaneously will help them stay focused and concentrate during our math, reading, and spelling lessons. Flexible seating permits young learners to work in small groups, promotes a sense of classroom community, and encourages classroom conversations. Seating options also allow boys and girls a sense of control in the classroom setting.
