The children in my classroom have a strong desire to explore and discover. Their natural curiosity affords them ample opportunities to interact, question, connect, problem-solve, communicate, reflect and extend their learning.
Exposing students to state of the art materials assists them in maintaining competitive in the academic field. The use of the requested Nikon camera and an Apple MacBook Airlaptop computer will allow them to be active participants in their learning. They will use the camera to document their experiences in the classroom. For instance, the children have been exploring nature and pretending to take pictures of things they view; pumpkins, apples, leaves, etc. using their fingers as pretend cameras. Now they can use a real camera. Also, they will be able to use the laptop to research real-world topics as well as take virtual field trips.
Utilizing technology in the classroom will assist my students in creating new memories and fostering new experiences that would otherwise not be possible.
