We are starting our summer STEM camp for elementary students in June and one of the projects is to teach coding using a Robot (Sphero).
Sphero is a three inch robotic ball that is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity and invention through connected play and coding.
Sphero takes hands-on learning up a notch. Sphero pairs to a smartphone or tablet allowing one to program simple commands like roll, flip and color change. As our students learn how to code, they can move onto more complex instructions for their robot to follow.
In this program, we will use our high school STEM students to be mentor to our elementary students.
