All of these materials will help overhaul our current library space, which desperately needs an update to create a fun, vibrant, inviting space for students to read and experience how great a library can be. Outside of our school building, the majority of our students do not have access to our public library. "Libraries literally aren't just a place to obtain books for free but they are one of the last few public spaces left in our society where you're allowed to exist without the expectation of spending money." Our current space is drab, dull, and uninspiring. Students need a space that is warm, inviting, and safe. A place that they can feel free to explore books and the magic written in their pages. Many of our students lack a space they can call their own, where they can let their imaginations soar, where they feel included. This updated library space gives our students this place. By having a special place, students will be able to access books and technology to help them in all their classes. The library is the center of our school and students need a special place to call their own.
