Our students will use the velcro, lamination, card stock, tape, and pouches to make books more accessible to meet their communication needs. They will be able to communicate their thoughts and ideas about books without having to say a word, they can use pictures! They will use pictures to access books and share their knowledge and ideas. Donations to my project will help us create a place where our students can be comfortable and engaged while accessing the wonderful world of reading! By adapting books it will help open up a world of communication for those students who use pictures to express their wants and needs on a daily basis. They will be able to take a good book wherever they go!
