I teach special education and many of my students work best with tangible rewards and positive reinforcement. My students love to earn a snack and will work very hard during the day to meet their goals. Many of my students do not have their own snacks from home and get hungry during the learning day.
Having an opportunity to take a break and eat a snack really helps my kiddos to re-energize, focus, and feel motivated to accomplish everything they put their minds too! My students are very hard workers, and the little extra incentive of positive reinforcements goes a long way to help them maintain the energy they need to be successful in the classroom!
