I want my students to walk into a print-rich environment every day. I want to provide them with a variety of texts consisting of different genres. I have a growing classroom library that I take great pride in and my students love to get their hands on the books. Having my students listen to read-alongs is just another engaging way for the books to come to life. It will also assist struggling readers and auditory learners. I want to instill a love of reading into each one on my students. They deserve every opportunity to be exposed to as many books and genres as possible. I believe that students who love reading have a greater chance of academic and future success. I want to inspire them to love reading as much as I do.
