I have the privilege of teaching an amazing group of students in grades K-6. As an intervention teacher, my job is to help unlock literacy for struggling readers. Whether they are English learners or students who have learning challenges, we work together in small groups to improve our reading skills. My students come from many different backgrounds and have an array of talents to share. They are gifted singers, athletes, artists, coders and robot-builders! I pull students for 30 minute increments all throughout the day from all the grades but also run after school programs such as Robotics. In my classroom you might see kindergarten cuties learning their letters or sixth grade superstars delving into the themes of Maniac Magee. I see an average of 40% of the school's students throughout the year so many students walk through my door each day. It's a great gig!
