Support Mrs. Payton-Parks' classroom with a gift that fosters learning.
Emotional intelligence is an important subject to teach every student. Students need to know why they are feeling certain ways, and how they can deal with these emotions.
I need essential oils and a portable diffuser for students to relax in peace circle discussions.
I will use the diffuser and oil blends depending on the content of what is being discussed in circle. I will have the students come up with their own soothing blends of oils to use in the classroom. They will gain emotional intelligence, and this helps boost our self-awareness, self-control, motivation, empathy, and social skills, all of which help us become much better leaders.
The students will use the henna pens to draw on their skin and discuss feelings. They will have the opportunity to share their design and the difference between what is seen on the outside and felt inside.
When our emotional health is in a bad state, so is our level of self-esteem. We have to slow down and deal with what is troubling us, so that we can enjoy the simple joy of being happy and at peace with ourselves.
