My students need hands-on learning activities to making learning "stick.” A classroom interactive smart board would radically change the way that my students are able to learn. We would use the TV system projector, projector, and HDMI mini port to turn our desktop computer monitor into an interactive whiteboard for a fraction of the cost of a Promethean board. We could then use the web to travel around the world, conduct research, watch videos, or even read books without leaving the comfort of our classroom. On top of that, we could use it for centers and learning games. My students love to play jeopardy and Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.
My students are visual-kinesthetic learners which means that they need to see, touch, and actually move learning around to be able to understand concepts and transfer knowledge into their long term memories; a smart board would allow us to bring hands-on learning to the classroom every single day that would meet the needs of EACH and EVERY one of my students.
Please join use to ensure that ALL students regardless of zip code have access to hands-on learning experiences!
