When students have an opportunity to use materials such as colored pencils and oil pastels, they enjoy the art that is produced because the colors are beautiful and vibrant. Interest rises in the project because of the intensity of the colors and ease of use. Good paper is essential too. Creating art on copy paper is okay on occasion, but it is so much nicer to create lasting artwork on paper that was intended for art.
Interest rises with the use of oil pastels to create art. The budget for art supplies is very limited, so in order to provide students with materials to create quality projects, I am asking for your help to make a difference in a child's experience with creativity and the process of making art.
