My school is a very different situation than most schools across America. We were in a building with deteriorating conditions. We had students, community members, and alumni protest in order for the district to provide money to update our campus. Needless to say, the district came through! But these updates have forced us to move off of our campus into a nearby alternative school. The choir went from a suite with 5 rooms to a classroom which means a lot of our stuff had to be either stored or thrown away. One of those things was our secondary practice piano. It was an old piano, but it was adequate enough for us to do private lessons on. Now we are without any type of piano to help our students prepare for competitions and performances outside of our normal rehearsal.
This keyboard (along with the accessories) will solve 2 problems. It will give us a small and portable option that doesn't take up much space as well as give us the necessary tools to carry out a very big part of our daily instruction. Please donate to our efforts! This project isn't just a want. It is a HUGE need!
