I work in an inner city school where the population is primarily in a low socioeconomic class. My school is has moved to a single gender classroom basis to determine if gender differences will impact learning and test scores...and I teach all boys. Because my students need that hands on, active experience in the classroom, I have to have a lot of materials and activities available for them to use.
