I have the pleasure of working in a self contained Autism Unit with students in 2nd through 4th grade. All of my students have unique personalities, gifts, and interests with individualized ways of communicating. They are all working so hard and are learning every day. While there are unique challenges that are a part of our classroom, every day there is a bright spot and I get to watch the incredible growth in communication and skills of some special kiddos that have changed my life forever.
