I have two students living with autism and ADHD. These students have a difficult time staying engaged in learning because they need to get up and move and sometimes not at an opportune time. One student has anxiety about sitting at his desk. The stand up desks would allow him to feel secure in the classroom and still participate in his learning.
The stand up desks will give my students freedom to participate in the classroom and not continue to limit their abilities because of a structure not meeting their needs. I see more being accomplished if my students could have the resources they need.
