The Ball Chairs and Wobble Stools will help my students by being able to move (without distracting other students) and focus on the material presented to them.
Movement keeps your mind open while keeping your body actively engaged.
Students with attention disabilities are not on the same playing field as other students. Students with attention disabilities take much longer to focus on the task at hand which causes them to miss vital information. Students with attention disabilities take longer to complete work because of the need to take breaks, to move, and to refocus. With the help of movement, students can release stimulants while focusing more on the learning.
Many of my students have to come in during recess, lunch, and specials to finish work. It is imperative for students with attention disabilities to have time off from class to run around and be a kid. I want to help my special need students have more free time by using the chair to move around in class instead of leaving the class for a movement break.
