I am seeking to get multiple items to make learning more hands on during center time. In a classroom of 20 students 15 of them are boys. I am a first-year teacher and do not yet have enough materials to have multiple centers with hands-on learning! With items such as geoboards, whisper phones, phonics tiles, flip books, giant sand timers, snap together letter blocks, phonics dominoes, Wikki Stix, and more, my students will have the more opportunities to learn in a fun and engaging way.
Research shows young children (especially boys) learn best through play. These items will allow them to do just that! I want my students to love school and enjoy learning as much as I do. Hands-on centers will really help with that.
