Imagine trying to work in a room where all of the supplies, activities, games and resources are out in plain view. It would be very had to focus. In addition, the table you are working at has deep scratches in it and parts of the tabletop are chipped off. It would be hard to do your best work.
Having new tables and a place to store things will improve my students' focus and reduce their frustration. Many of my students are very distractible. Our new-to-us space was not designed as a classroom, so there is no storage whatsoever. Being able to have tempting things like games, art supplies, and technology out of sight while still being accessible, would greatly help the students to concentrate on their work. Having the Wood Designs Teachers Lock-It Up Cabinet With 4 Large Storage Shelves will take care of that. Having smooth working surfaces that don't catch their pencils when writing and drawing will greatly reduce their frustration. The APOLLO ACTIVITY TRAPEZOID tables will provide just that.
While these items may seem basic, they will make a world of difference to my students and their ability to attend and do their best work.
