I have been at my school since 2009 but this is my first year as the P.E. teacher. I consider this school a hidden gem, always have, and that's because of the kids. I now have the pleasure of teaching every student in the school and they are wonderful.
Our school does not have a gymnasium so P.E. class is taught outside on the school yard when weather allows it and in the basement hallway when it doesn't. Being outside, it can often be loud with recess and airplanes heading to and from the airport that's about one mile from the school.
In spite of not having a gymnasium, the students don't let that slow them down. They always come to class with enthusiasm and excitement, ready to learn and be active. They work together so well and are always kind and respectful. They are truly a pleasure to have in class.
