On March 13th, I brought home my classroom Chromebook just in case. I'm so glad I did because little did I know I would be teaching from home. If I did not borrow my classroom Chromebook, there would be no way I would be able to teach online.
At this moment, my nephew, who is in middle-school and I share my school's Chromebook for teaching and homeschooling. It is not ideal, but his school didn't provide him with any resources to be successful at home with remote learning. I am constantly going on and checking in with my students, correcting their work and providing feedback. My nephew also has work to do and teacher meetings to attend. We do our best to work around each other's schedule.
It would be helpful to have my own Chromebook during this time of teaching, especially not knowing what will happen in September.
