The materials on my wish list will make learning science fun and inspirational for all of my science students. They include tools as well as specimens that provide a hands-on experience for students. The measuring and science tools will make collecting data much easier and more rewarding for my students. The list has live animals specimens (crayfish and preying mantis) and owl pellets, as well as science measurement tools, and will help make science real and exciting for my students. 5th graders will dissect the owl pellets with a partner. 3rd graders will learn about crayfish, structure and function as well as how to care for them. The soil thermometers will be used by 1st-5th grade. The digital timers will be used by K-5. A class set of Science news magazines will be read by many classes.
