Literacy is an important part of life. It is so important to provide activities to help support and encourage literacy both at home and in the classroom. My project is to create weekend literacy bags. Right now, my goal is to provide these bags for a trial period. As I receive feedback from parents and students, I plan to improve or change the bags. These weekend literacy bags will help to foster the love and excitement of literacy in young children as they explore different books and complete related activities. These activities will help provide a building block for reading, writing, and creativity. These weekend bags will provide an opportunity for students to engage in literacy related projects with their parents.
