Our students use recently purchased Kindles during our learning communities. Students loved reading books we have down loaded. This has encouraged many of our students to reach their goal of reading one million words by the time school ends. Our students use the Kindles for educational online programs for acceleration and remediation in their math, science, social studies and reading skills. Many of these programs have sound, so headphones are very helpful to keep a quite learning environment for everyone. Students have shown a lot of growth using these programs. It also makes it easy for us to monitor their growth.
Our students love technology, but keeping it safe can be scary. Kindles can be easily broken and kids drop things by mistake often, so the cases and charging station will help these devices live on for many years to come. I love that these cases have a hand pocket for careful handling while walking and a stand for easy view of the screen. The charging station will keep them in one spot for easy access for the students and daily charging.
There are so many ways students can use this technology in the classroom. Some often, the technology is affordable, but then to protect it adds additional cost. It would be a blessing not to have to worry every time a student is in possession of the Kindles.
