Not only do my students, bear the burden of low economic backgrounds, but they are also still trying to put their homes back together due to Hurricane Harvey.
Buying a book is difficult under normal circumstances, much less after Hurricane Harvey. As students read How to Read Literature Like a Professor, we will use the techniques discussed in the book to analyze other stories through out the semester. Students will create visuals, make associations, and write analytical essays. This book is a great teaching tool because it uses humorous examples for my students to gain a grasp of writing styles and artistry.
