I am requesting Scholastic News in order to bring more knowledge of the world to my students. The newspaper offers the opportunity to apply Common Core Standards in several subject areas while students are "traveling" through the world. Scholastic News reminds us of the weekly newspaper many of us looked forward to as children in school. The learning opportunities we experienced each week are still with us today. With modern technology, there is even more opportunity for students to learn through videos that can be used at both school and at home. Scholastic News will be a well-utilized tool in my classroom.
