Students will be able to work easier in groups without the necessity to move bulky student desks. Additionally, students will be more comfortable in seating that is not attached to the desk.
More freedom and ease grouping and comfort in the classroom will better accommodate the unique needs of my students, as well as, allow them to more easily become cooperative learners.
The round tables will allow ample space for students to spread out their materials without feeling crowded. Currently the students may be using a laptop, textbook, and paper handouts simultaneously; however, they do not fit on their desk. It is also difficult for students to easily work together without distraction in the joined desk/chair combination.
