My students have autism and do not have adequate materials to help them with their math. They need tangible items which they can use to visually solve the problems and express their answers in a better way that they can understand.
Many students with autism struggle if they cannot use manipulatives to solve math problems. Our classroom is in desperate need of manipulatives to achieve student success. Though the students are high functioning, they still need a lot of assistance gaining insight into to real world problems. Math is an essential for students to take into adulthood with them. Help my students be successful!
