It's been proven that students will be more engaged in reading if they can find captivating characters to read about or a favorite book series to hold their interest. I need to add more book series to my classroom library to hold the interest of struggling and special needs students who are reading below grade level. Studies have shown that the most important thing you can do to improve your reading level is to read as much as possible. In order to inspire my students to do that, I need to add books to my classroom library that are high interest and low reading levels for middle school students.
I work at a Title One school, which means the majority of my students cannot afford to go to Barnes & Noble to buy their own books. Many of them struggle just to able to buy school supplies at the beginning of the year. By giving a donation, you would giving them a chance to explore a whole new world that only reading can bring. Please help my students to become better readers.
