My students will use these cell phone recording kits to make a documentary film project focusing on Coral Reefs. In their project, students will be required to research, create visuals, write a script, and record their film using these filming kits. This project will help my 9th graders synthesize information, create claims, support those claims with evidence, and engage an audience. We will use the filming kits to produce the final film project.
In this documentary film project, students will be able to engage with more creativity than they would think possible if they were to write an essay. By producing a documentary film, my 9th graders will be able to engage with the material in more inspiring and creative ways!
