My students love reading funny stories that also have a great life lesson. Many of our leveled books are boring and do not help spark the interest of my students when it comes to reading. Having more exciting books in the classroom will get my students excited about our reading time together and in small groups. I would love to be able to send home some books with students that may not have any appropriate leveled books at home. This will help them get even more reading practice outside of school to help fill the reading gap that they come with into first grade.
