The four Chrome Books will add to the technology that my students will have access to. A few of my student computers that are not working, and I wanted all of my students to have access to technology when I am introducing material that will require them to use it.
My goal this year is to transform my classroom into a Project Based; 21st Century Classroom. This type of classroom environment will welcome student growth in communication, collaboration, creativity, and enhance their leadership skills. Transforming my classroom to this type of environment will allow my students to create Webquest, Digital Stories, Online Collaboration with their classmates, and Digital Concept Maps.
Since I am always finding my students' assignment on floor or odd places in my classroom, the Compartment Organizer and Desk Trays will be used in order for the students to store their assignments once it is time to turn them. The arts and craft items will be used for hands on class projects so students will be able to correlate history with other subjects are areas of their life.
The highlighters will be used for annotating primary documents in all of the classes that I teach; American Government, World History, & U.S. History. The A.P. (Advanced Placement) U.S. History books will allow me to prepare my students for their end of the year exams. The three binders will assist me in providing those students that are less fortunate with school supplies. One has no idea, that simple things such as three ring binders appear as a luxury to those students that simply do not have the funds to purchase school supplies as such.
One does not need a doctorate in education to understand what ignites students to learn. It is simple, let's keep these students motivated to learn!
