Receiving two iPads and headphones would be great asset in my bilingual classroom. It would help the English language learners learn reading, writing, and math skills. Most students in our community come from low-income households. Having access to new technology is an investment in their future. All students do not learn the same way. Therefore, I would use the iPads to help differentiate their instruction in my reading and math stations so they may become life-long learners. We use the Balanced Literacy Program at our campus where the students are reading and writing throughout the school day. My students are eager to come to school every day so they may learn new things. Second grade students are at the age where they are looking for acceptance by performing well. Being an iPhone user for many years, I know there are many great apps that will truly help educate the students in my bilingual classroom.
