One area that still needs attention as our students enter third grade is fluency and listening skills. Having a listening center with differentiated books will greatly benefit students in these areas. Students will use this listening station and these great books daily in our center rotation. All students can learn to love to read when given great resources. Through this listening center, students will be able to choose a book of interest that is on their reading level. They will listen to it read fluently, which will help with their own fluency and listening skills. As those skills improve, we will see students grow in comprehension, which is our goal!
