PE is in a low-income high poverty area within Robeson County, North Carolina. Many of the families are single parent households with limited resources. Each year when we send out the supply list, unfortunately many of the families cannot send in the needed supplies. By having these needed items when the new year begins is helping reduce the request for the families.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement.
In my classroom, we do whiteboard activities and the students use Expo markers to participate in these activities. Students are using the highlighters to help with showing proof in the text when completing their assignments. We go through a lot of pencils throughout the year and run low on supplies towards the middle of the year.
