The materials will allow the students to do their "thinking" (scrap work) without wasting paper. In math showing your work is so important, however, there are times where the students need scrap paper to check their responses or do calculations. Our classroom is going through so much paper! I also plan to use the white boards as answer paddles. When I ask students questions often times some students are afraid to answer. This will allow them to answer and not have other students see their responses. It may seem like I am asking for basic supplies but these supplies will make a huge difference in our classroom.
