My kindergartners love to move and experience learning through hands-on experiences. We spend the majority of our day working in guided learning stations and Daily 5, during which students are free to choose whatever seating option will help them most. I currently have one balance disc and a rocking chair that are consistently the favorite seats in the room. This has encouraged me to offer my students more seating options that allow them to move while staying in one place!
When their whole body is engaged, the learning becomes more concrete and students embrace all the information more authentically. These wobble stools will provide four new options for flexible seating in my classroom and will allow my students to keep their bodies (and minds!) as active as possible. I can't wait to see them wiggle and learn together!
