Every day, students are subjected to worksheet after worksheet to try and ingrain math into their brains. Playing games is a great way for students to learn math concepts in a fun and engaging way. When students are excited about the games, they sometimes forget they are learning at all!
Using math games in my classroom motivates my students to stay involved in their learning. They are not only building mathematical foundations, but interpersonal skills as well. In a classroom with students that are learning to speak English, it is very important to include authentic opportunities for communication practice. Thank you!
