My students work hard to get to school every day, being worried about how to buy food and hygiene supplies is something a teenager shouldn't have to deal with, but they do. By providing hygiene supplies, my students will have one less thing to worry about and won't avoid coming to school due to embarrassment over their hygiene.
I would like to be able to provide all of my homeless and independent students with shampoo and conditioner, body wash, face wash, pads/tampons for the girls, and deodorant.
Students often avoid school if they aren't clean because they feel ashamed. This project will help ensure they are clean and remove one barrier from their lives.
