Students get to take the teacher home so that she can read to them! I teach bilingual Kindergarten. Two of my students receive reduced lunch and all the rest receive free lunch. Our school is in a low socio-economic area where the majority of the residents speak Spanish as their first language. Many of the parents themselves do not speak English very well much less read it.
