These tools will help my student to see different scenarios where math will be used in their lives and help them build the skills needed to become more independent and be a productive member of society.
The students will use fractions to measure for cooking, the workbooks for being able to pull out important information and chose the correct function in order to figure out what they need. Example: paying sales tax, getting a discount, getting the correct change. Without these skills my students could easily be taken advantage of or make mistakes in cooking for daily life.
