5th grade students from low-income and minority families from our elementary will have the opportunity to design and build solar robots, and learn about renewable energies and engineering. Robotics and green technologies have become a core skill of the 21st Century. Teaching students about robotics and solar energy will give them a skill for life and will prepare them for the jobs of the future.
By using hands-on robotics, students will gain a better understanding of how technology works in real world applications.
These robots will help the students to develop their creativity by designing and building solar robots based on their interest and imagination.
