Each quarter, my students are delving into an integrated reading curriculum set up to expose them to a variety of functional skills. To extend this curriculum, I am looking to do literature studies on children's novels that are lower leveled readers with high interest topics.
These books will be a part of a read aloud series but it is also necessary for each student to have their own copies to follow along. This helps with their own fluency and word recognition. I am also able to use this during distance learning as it ensures all of my students can follow along as we read online.
