The materials will make a difference in the classroom because it will create a more in-depth learning environment. With a math rug, students can feel appreciative of the math they are learning and they could also use the rug as a resource. The classroom timer will be used for the weekly multiplication quizzes students take. They are becoming more fluent with their tables and having a timer will help them see how fluent they are becoming. The individual timers will be useful during math stations as they practice their multiplication tables in a small group setting. They can each time themselves or be timed by a partner and see for themselves their improvement in multiplication or division fluency. Students are most engaged when working through problems on their white boards. I feel students will be more invested in their learning when they have all the materials they need at their disposal.
