These are books that our 10th-grade students would like added to our classroom library. The books selected are at a range of Lexile levels, which mirrors the range of Lexile levels in our high school classroom. Building a strong culture of reading is very important for student success in English Language Arts class and beyond. Some texts are more graphically oriented (ie. Bone, Maus), others are highly character- or action-driven (ie. Crazy Rich Asians, Bronxwood) and others are much more lyrical, such as the poetry texts (ie. Milk and Honey, The Sun and Her Flowers). It would be very exciting to be able to share these requested books with students!
