I work with many small groups to allow more differentiation. Currently, I have 7 chairs that do not fit under our learning table. The students feel squished and are not able to focus as well as they need to be successful. Add in the natural need and some special needs (ADD) for movement and our learning is already at a disadvantage. By replacing the chairs with wobble stools, the students will be able to comfortably work at our learning table AND get their "wiggles" out. Studies continue to show the need for movement while learning. Given that many of our children spend a lot of time on screens, movement is necessary. Allowing them to work on a wobble stool creates movement, enhances learning, and builds core muscles!
