Many of my students come from low income housing and don't often get the exposure and background knowledge that their peers have. While I have them, I want to be able to provide them with as many experiences that I can. My excitement in learning something new sparked a fire in my students. After attending a workshop, I got excited about starting computer coding with my first grade students. I couldn't wait to jump into it with them. We began the next week. They are on fire. I hope this fire continues to burn and creates new exciting opportunities for them. I want to take it to the next level so that they can see their coding "come to life". They can work together with partners to build community skills. They are also opening their own doors to be college and career minded.
