With the introduction of Creative Curriculum into our program we have transitioned into a new age style of teaching. Our students are being taught to be thinkers and expand upon their ideas. Since August I have seen a change in the way my students generate ideas and are now thinking in a more logical manner. Using chart paper is a major part of the day to day brainstorming of the curriculum. This format enables the children to see their ideas as well as the ideas of their classmates and the best part is that its posted in out classroom for the remainder of the theme so they can always look back and take ownership of their ideas and their classroom.
With the need for the use of the chart paper to accomplish our day to day brainstorming. The over overall cost becomes quiet expensive. The students need to be able to brainstorm in large and small group settings and be able to see and reflect upon their thinking. Each day these supplies will be used to engage my students with their brainstorm, planning, and to see their outcomes.
